Are you tired of receiving unwanted promotional messages on your Safaricom line? You're not alone. According to a recent report, millions of people receive an average of five promotional messages per day. But is this type of marketing effective? The answer is no, as most people don't even bother to check these messages, let alone find them useful.

These marketing SMS messages are sent by companies advertising their products and services to mobile subscribers. However, they often eat into our airtime, leaving us frustrated and wondering if there's a way out. The good news is that you can easily get rid of unwanted subscriptions on your Safaricom line.

Here's how:

Check your messages for the names and numbers of PROMOTIONS that you don't want to send you texts and note them down.

Then, dial 456# and follow these steps:

  • Reply with 9: STOP
  • Reply with 5: PROMOTIONAL MESSAGES
  • Reply with 1: STOP
  • Enter the sender name you wish to stop

Alternatively, you can use the USSD code 456951# to skip right to entering the name.

So, the next time you receive an unwanted promotional message, don't get frustrated. Simply follow these steps and say goodbye to unwanted texts.
