Watford Football Club has parted ways with manager Javi Gracia, who led the team to their highest finish in the Premier League last season.
Gracia's 20-month tenure came to an end on Saturday, with the team currently sitting on one point from four matches.
He was replaced by fellow Spaniard Quique Sanchez Flores, who will take charge of the team for the first time against Arsenal on Sunday.
Gracia expressed his surprise at the sudden termination of his contract, stating, "After the unexpected announcement about the termination of my contract … I want to express my surprise after completing the best season in Watford’s history."
During his tenure, Gracia helped the team finish 11th in the Premier League and reach the FA Cup final.
