On September 9, 2019, Daniel Jaoko, a licensed gun holder, appeared before Kisumu High Court Judge Fred Ochieng' to face murder charges.
Jaoko has been at Kodiaga remand prison since August, suspected of shooting dead Peter Otieno, a Coast Bus employee at Polyview Estate.
Jaoko pleaded not guilty to the charges and applied for bail, but the prosecutor, Peter Muya, objected, claiming that if released, Jaoko would interfere with the witnesses.
The court has set September 23 for a ruling on Jaoko's bail application.
