Women in Tech Week 2019 is set to be a major event in Ghana this October, bringing together women in technology spaces across Africa to network, share, and empower each other.
Organized by Women in Tech Africa, the event will take place from October 9th to 25th, with the theme 'Scaling Technology in Africa.'
Renowned speakers, including Nancy Matimu, VP of Market Development at MasterCard, and Vere Shaba, a Forbes Africa 30 under 30 honoree, will headline the event.
With over 5,000 members across 30 countries globally, Women in Tech Africa has established 12 physical chapters in various countries, including Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya.
The organization was also recognized as the 2018 recipient of the United Nations Equals Award for Leadership in the Women and Technology Space.
Top-ranking individuals from across Africa, including C-Level executives, female tech entrepreneurs, and women aspiring for STEM careers, are expected to attend the event.
