On Monday morning, students of Multimedia University of Kenya blocked Magadi Road in Rongai, Kajiado County, in protest of a hit and run incident involving one of their colleagues.

The incident occurred last week when a bus hit a student, and the vehicle was subsequently impounded by police. However, the driver responsible for the accident remains at large.

As a result, the students have taken to barricading the road with stones, causing a traffic snarl up along Magadi Road.

This is not the first time the Multimedia students have protested over accidents involving their comrades. In 2016, transport on Magadi and Lang'ata roads were paralysed as the students blocked the roads protesting the death of a colleague in an accident.
