September 9, 2019, marked a significant departure for Serah Ndanu Teshan, a 30-year-old TV host who left her lucrative job at K24's Alfajiri three months prior. The news sent shockwaves through the media circles, with fans and critics alike trying to predict her next move.
According to an interview with Pulser magazine, Ndanu Teshan reveals that she had been feeling exhausted both physically and mentally from her TV hosting job. She had to wake up at 3 am and be in the studio by 4 am, leaving her with little time for personal relationships or self-care.
"I had to be up by 3 am and in studio at 4 am ready to start. You can get so occupied with the job that you have no time to catch up with friends or even family. It can get real crazy," she says in the interview.
Despite the glamour associated with being on TV, Ndanu Teshan admits that she didn't have time for herself and now understands the pressure celebrities face, which can lead to depression. She feels that TV had given her everything she needed to take the next step, but she wouldn't rule out another shot at hosting a show.
Since leaving TV, Ndanu Teshan has been working on her next project, a TV series where she is the executive producer. "Everything is falling into place as planned, and my content is about to go on air. I have been working on a drama and an educative youth show, which puts the reality of all things youth into perspective," she says.
