On September 9, 2019, Kenya Airways announced changes to its flight schedules on the Nairobi-Malindi route, effective September 10, 2019.
The airline's flights will now leave Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 10:30 PM to arrive in Malindi at 9:35 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, the flight will depart Malindi Airport at 10:05 PM to arrive at JKIA at 11:10 PM.
These changes come after Kenya Airways resumed operations on the route in June 2019, following a six-year suspension due to difficulties in landing on the poor condition of the airstrip.
According to the airline, the schedule adjustment aims to provide passengers with an evening arrival and late departure from Malindi, improving connectivity to Rome.
Kenya Airways operates the Malindi route using a Bombardier Q400 aircraft, which accommodates 78 passengers and is crewed by two pilots and two flight attendants.
