On September 9, 2019, a major breakthrough was made in the hunt for Mombasa's most wanted criminal, Ali Abdalla Abdillatif, alias Bliza Bliza.
Abdalla, a 23-year-old member of the notorious Old Town Youth Gang, was finally apprehended by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nairobi's Eastleigh estate.
According to the DCI, Abdalla was captured at 11th Street in Eastleigh following a tip-off, and was arrested alongside 25-year-old Daniel Muigai Nganga.
The two suspects have been placed in custody, awaiting further police action.
