Published on September 8, 2019, Moses Kuria condemned the actions of rival factions in the Jubilee Party, which he noted were driven by 2022 succession politics.

He wondered what would happen if political rivals William Ruto and Raila Odinga formed an alliance and swept to victory in the 2022 general elections.

His remarks came after a dramatic fight broke out at Gatui Catholic Church in Muranga between Kieleweke MPs led by Maina Kamanda and Nyoro, who insisted that he was the only one with the right to invite leaders to events in his constituency.

‘I am the MP and I am the only one who can invite people to functions in this constituency. I respect Maina Kamanda as a father and an elder, but I cannot allow him to come all the way from Nairobi to rule Kiharu Constituency,’ Nyoro said.
