Published on September 8, 2019, Deputy President Dr. William Ruto emphasized the importance of focusing on development initiatives to improve the lives of Kenyans.
Speaking during a tour of development projects in Vihiga County, Ruto stated that the country cannot be transformed through constant calls for constitutional change.
He noted that the Jubilee administration's primary goal is to fulfill its pre-election pledges, which include improving the lives of Kenyans through development initiatives.
At the same time, Ruto expressed the administration's willingness to work with all leaders, regardless of their political affiliations, as he believes that time for politics is over.
The leaders who accompanied Ruto, including Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali, Sirisia's John Waluke, and former Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga, stated that their decision to work with the DP was informed by the region's development needs.
