Imran Wins Kibra ODM Nomination: A New Chapter for ODM in Kibra

On September 8, 2019, the Kibra ODM nomination came to a close, with Bernard Otieno Okoth, popularly known as Imran, emerging as the top candidate.

Imran secured a total of 4,382 votes, leaving his closest competitor, Peter Orero, with 1,218 votes.

With this victory, Imran will now face off against McDonald Mariga from Jubilee, Eliud Owalo from ANC, Khamisi Butichi from Ford Kenya, and Editar Ochieng from Ukweli Party in the upcoming Kibra by-election.

The other candidates who participated in the Kibra ODM nomination were:

  • John Milla Otieno - 906 votes
  • Ben Musungu - 524 votes
  • Christone Odhiambo - 417 votes
  • Tony Ogola - 381 votes
  • Stephen Okello - 228 votes
  • Brian Owino - 127 votes
  • Reuben Ojijo - 52 votes
  • Eric Obayi - 45 votes
