Two police officers have been arrested in connection with a KSh 72 million heist from Standard Chartered bank in Nairobi West. The officers, Chris Ayienda Machogu and Vincent Owuor, were apprehended with KSh 7 million in Kendu Bay, Homa Bay County.

According to the DCI, the officers were found to have purchased a Subaru Forester car using the stolen money. The car was seized, and the officers are being held at the police station as they await court appearance on Monday.

The DCI stated on Twitter, "The suspects were found to have purchased a Subaru Forester car using the stolen money on the same day the money was reported missing, which the suspects also admitted to."
