On September 7, 2019, Kisumu County Speaker Onyango Oloo, who was being sought by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over the Sh4.1 billion LBDA mall scandal, surrendered himself to the police.
Mr. Oloo presented himself to the Central police station in Mombasa, accompanied by a section of members of the Kisumu County Assembly.
He was expected to face charges related to the scandal.
