Published on September 7, 2019, South Sudan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the South African government to find peaceful ways to end the recurring xenophobic attacks against foreign nationals in that country.

According to Makol Mawien, spokesperson at the South Sudan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the South African government is capable of ending the attacks, which have been plaguing the country.

South Sudan opposition leader and presidential aspirant Suzanne Jambo has also weighed in on the issue, calling on the ruling African National Congress to not only punish the perpetrators of the violence but to also remind citizens about African solidarity for South Africa pre- and post-apartheid.

She slammed the African National Congress for failing to deliver services to South Africans and called for unity among African states.
