On Friday, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested three more suspects in the Ksh. 72 million heist from a Standard Chartered Bank ATM in Nairobi West.

Two vehicles believed to have been used in the heist were recovered at a garage in Kikuyu Town, including a Toyota Noah that was undergoing a paint job.

The three new suspects join six G4S employees who were arraigned on Friday and ordered detained at Langata police station for 7 days to allow for completion of investigations.

Earlier, 13 cash boxes were recovered empty in Thogoto Forest, Kiambu, but the Ksh. 72 million stolen by three criminals posing as police officers on Thursday remains missing.

According to a report from Kikuyu Police Station, a man tipped off police after spotting broken cash boxes and bags from different banks, including Standard Chartered Bank, Stanbic Bank, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), and Barclays Bank.
