Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has released the August security updates for its Oppo A5s, Oppo A83, and Oppo A71 devices. The updates aim to improve system security and reliability, and are now available for download.
The Oppo A5s, unveiled in April 2019, was initially released with Android 8.1 Oreo and ColorOS 5.2. The August update for the Oppo A5s is available as version CPH1909EX_11_A.26 and includes the Android security patch of August 2019, which improves system reliability. Additionally, the update allows users to uninstall the TouchPal keyboard, a feature that was previously not available.

The update is available as version CPH1729EX_11_A.29 and includes the Android security patch of August 2019. Users can download the ROM for the 3/4GB variant from this link and install it manually via recovery mode.
