On Sunday, defending champions Butali Sugar Warriors will face off against Kenya Police in a highly anticipated men's hockey Premier League match at City Park.

Butali Sugar, who have maintained an unbeaten record of six wins and three draws, are looking to break clear at the top of the standings.

Kenya Police, who have had a lukewarm season, are seeking revenge after losing 2-1 to Butali Sugar in their first leg match on April 20.

Butali Sugar's coach Dennis Owoka expressed confidence in his team's chances, citing their improved midfield and the maturity of new signings Calvin 'Kanu' Otieno and Amos Barkibir.

However, Owoka warned that Kenya Police could regain their strength after a disappointing run of two draws and two losses.

Police skipper Oliver Echenje echoed Owoka's sentiments, stating that his team was ready for the challenge and had been training intensely since their loss to Butali Sugar.

Other matches scheduled for Sunday include Western Jaguars vs. Greensharks at 3pm in Kakamega and USIU vs. Nairobi Simba at 6pm in City Park.
