Kenyan beauty queen Eleanor Musangi will compete in the Miss Global 2022 international pageant, representing her country in Bali from May 31 to June 11.
Musangi, formerly linked to musician Jowie, shared social media posts ahead of her departure, describing the opportunity as a 'dream come true.' She pledged to 'make her motherland proud' while carrying Kenya's flag at the event.
Her posts included a message stating, 'Destination @missglobalofficial. Believe in the beauty of your dreams, because dreams do come true. To my motherland Kenya, am so proud as your daughter to be flying your flag with honor. Whatever May come.'
The 9th edition of Miss Global, first held in 2013 in the U.S., will take place in Indonesia for the first time. The event was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Czech Republic's Karolína Kokešová won the title in 2019.
Musangi shared a video of herself wearing a crown ahead of the competition, signaling her aspirations for the title. The pageant's organizer confirmed the Bali location as a new chapter for the international event.
