Rabai Member of Parliament William Kamoti will be laid to rest today following a fatal road accident in Kilifi County.
Kamoti died Sunday night when his vehicle collided with another on the Mombasa-Malindi highway in Mnarani, resulting in severe injuries to his driver, who was hospitalized at Kilifi County Hospital.
The ODM party expressed shock at Kamoti's death, noting he had recently submitted his nomination papers to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) before the incident occurred.
ODM leader Raila Odinga is expected to attend the funeral at Kamoti's residence in Kaliang'ombe, Rabai, as the party pledged support to the MP's constituents.
