Klopp told reporters, "I am happy that the game is here for thousands of reasons. The war is still going on and we have to think about that." He called the venue change "exactly the right message that Russia should get," highlighting the tournament's role in demonstrating international unity.
The German coach pledged to play "for all the people in Ukraine," stating, "I am sure some people in Ukraine can still watch it and we do it for you, 100 per cent." The final, a rematch of the 2018 showdown, will see Liverpool aim for a third trophy this season while Real Madrid targets a record 14th Champions League title.
