Published on September 6, 2019, a remarkable story of luck and perseverance emerged from Kawangware, a suburb in Nairobi. Joel Anjichi Buchichi, a 36-year-old gardener, won Sh10 million from Mozzart Bet Jackpot by correctly predicting results of 13 football matches.

Buchichi, who works as a gardener, had been advised by a friend to join Mozzart Bet. He registered on the platform and placed three bets, one of which led to the life-changing win.

Interestingly, Buchichi won the jackpot on the very day he joined Mozzart Bet. He also won Sh10,000 from another bet the same night, further solidifying his luck.

With his newfound wealth, Buchichi plans to buy land and build residential houses. He will take home Sh8 million as Sh2 million from the win was deducted as tax.

Before his win, Buchichi lived with his wife and three children in a one-room shack in Kawangware. He declared that he had quit his gardener job following the windfall, saying, “I cannot work in somebody’s home again with this kind of money,”

“Life has been very hard for us, but God has answered our prayers,” he added. “This is going to change our lives forever.”

Acting on advice from a friend, Buchichi's story serves as a testament to the power of luck and perseverance.
