On September 6, 2019, Joel Anjichi Buchichi, a 36-year-old gardener from Kawangware, made history by winning Sh10 million from Mozzart Bet Jackpot.
Buchichi, who works as a gardener, correctly predicted the results of 13 football matches, securing the massive win.
He declared that he had quit his gardener job following the windfall, saying, "I cannot work in somebody's home again with this kind of money."
"Life has been very hard for us, but God has answered our prayers," he added. "This is going to change our lives forever."
Buchichi won the jackpot on the very day he joined Mozzart Bet, after registering on the platform and placing three bets on advice from a friend.
He also won Sh10,000 from another bet the same night, taking his total winnings to Sh10.01 million.
However, he will take home Sh8 million as Sh2 million from the win was deducted as tax.
With his newfound wealth, Buchichi plans to buy land and build residential houses, marking a significant change in his life.
