On May 5, 2019, police in Kikuyu, Kenya, responded to a tip about a suspicious find at Thogoto Forest.

According to an incident report, a member of the public spotted assorted broken cash boxes and cash bags from different banks at the forest.

Police rushed to the scene and found 13 empty cash bags from Standard Chartered Bank, Stanbic Bank, KCB Bank, and Barclays Bank, as well as assorted broken cash boxes, a broken mobile phone, and a SIM card.

Despite the discovery, no arrests were made, and the case remains under investigation.
