On September 5, 2019, GCR Ratings announced the appointment of Sylvia Chahonyo as its new head of East Africa market.
Ms Chahonyo brings significant business experience and expertise, particularly in the growth and expansion of capital markets and ratings businesses in Africa.
GCR chairman Olivier Beroud expressed his pleasure at attracting someone with Chahonyo's calibre, track record, and potential to continue augmenting GCR's East African credit rating business.
"I am very pleased that we have been able to attract someone with her calibre, track record and potential, to continue to augment GCR's already well-established East African credit rating business," said Mr Beroud.
