On Thursday, September 5, 2019, a brazen heist took place in Nairobi West, where three men posing as police officers robbed G4S personnel of Ksh.72 million.

According to sources, the G4S team had collected the cash from their headquarters on Witu Road and were being escorted by the imposters.

The team was led out of the premises with two vehicles, one leading and another at the back, before arriving at the Standard Chartered Bank ATM in Nairobi West.

When they arrived, the G4S team called their headquarters for the password to reload cash into the machine, but the thugs turned on them immediately after.

The personnel were told to surrender their phones before the thugs offloaded the cash onto a Noah vehicle and fled.

Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
