On September 5, 2019, a daring heist took place in Nairobi, where three fake police officers stole KSh 72 million from G4S personnel at an ATM without firing a single shot.

The incident occurred in the morning when G4S employees were depositing money into the ATM. The fake police officers, dressed in police uniforms, approached the scene and took control of the situation.

According to eyewitnesses, the fake police officers were accompanied by real G4S employees who were unaware of the heist. The officers claimed to be on a mission to investigate a crime, but in reality, they were there to steal the money.

The G4S employees were forced to hand over the cash without any resistance, and the fake police officers made off with the loot.

It is alleged that the fake police officers were well-planned and executed the heist with precision, leaving no one injured or killed.
