On September 5, 2019, a long-standing family dispute involving the late MP Ken Okoth and Nominated MCA Ann Nthumbi finally came to an end with the release of DNA results confirming that Ann's son is indeed the late MP's child.
Ms Nthumbi had taken the matter to court during the late MP's funeral arrangements, seeking to stop the burial until DNA samples could be taken from Ken Okoth.
During the memorial service for the deceased MP, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko made a shocking revelation, admitting that he was the one who connected MP Okoth to his secret lover, Ann Nthumbi.
According to Sonko, the late MP would not have forgiven him for his role in the relationship between the two.
Earlier, it was rumored that the MP's family did not want anything to do with Ann Nthumbi and her son, with Ms Nthumbi even alleging that she was locked out of attending the late MP's final rites, along with her son.
