Former Chelsea captain John Terry has splurged £38 million on a luxurious country home in Surrey, a significant addition to his already impressive property portfolio.

Located in a sought-after area, the 18th-century brick and flint country house boasts seven bedrooms, a tennis court, and stables, set amidst eight acres of lush greenery.

According to reports, the original part of the house was built in 1752, with extensions added in the 20th century. The property's stables block and three boxes have particularly caught the eye of Terry and his wife Toni, who have allocated £1.8 million for a lavish renovation.

Two designers have been contracted to redesign the property, which will feature a stylish Clive Christian kitchen. The renovation is expected to be completed soon.

John Terry, who has an estimated worth of £38 million, has turned his hand to property development since retiring from active football. The luxurious home is a testament to his success and taste in high-end properties.
