As a parent, you learn to expect the unexpected, but sometimes even the most seasoned among us can be caught off guard. I recall a particular Sunday morning when my young son, who had grown attached to his potty, insisted on using it during a church service. His cries of 'Pottie... Pupu' still echo in my mind as I recount the events that unfolded.
Despite my initial reluctance to intervene, my son's persistence eventually led me to dash out of church and retrieve his potty from the car. The journey home was a harrowing experience, with the stench of his accident wafting through the air and a swarm of flies taking an interest in our vehicle.
As I reflected on the incident, I couldn't help but wonder why we never see flies following the exhauster trucks that dot our roads, despite their cargo of, ahem, 'poop.' It was a sobering reminder of the importance of being prepared for the unexpected and the need for a 'Potty on Board' sticker in my car.
