Kenyan producer Tedd Josiah has made a deliberate choice not to hire a live-in nanny for his daughter, Jay, born after the loss of his second wife, Reginah Katar.

According to Tedd, this decision is rooted in his desire to be present in his daughter's life and ensure she receives love and attention from him directly.

As a widower, Tedd has shouldered the responsibility of raising Jay on his own, a decision he does not regret.

When asked about hiring a nanny, Tedd Josiah explained, 'It's easy for a man to outsource the responsibility of love giving to a nanny and I really didn’t want that.'

He emphasized the importance of being present in his daughter's life, saying, 'It’s my responsibility thru it all to still give her love and attention not to run away into a bar or some place else in order to forget my pain.'

Despite the challenges, Tedd Josiah has found solace in his relationship with his daughter, stating, 'In fact because of this we have fallen more in love with each other and depended on each other for our healing.'

Tedd has expressed his commitment to raising Jay and has no plans to rush into remarrying, choosing instead to focus on bringing up his daughter.
