September 5, 2019, marked a day when celebrated journalist Larry Madowo's driving skills were put to the test, albeit virtually. The NTSA, Kenya's roads authority, has been called upon to revoke his driving license with immediate effect.
According to a video uploaded by Larry on his social media, he showcased his skills in Forza Motorsport 7 racing video game on a VRX motion simulator. However, his followers on social media were not convinced that he should be allowed anywhere near a vehicle.
While Larry claimed to be a better driver in real life, his fans were quick to point out his poor driving skills. One fan wrote, "NTSA pitieni hapa," while another added, "NTSA wanakuja ivo." Switch TV anchor Nick Mudimba commented, "Enda class bana??"
Other fans also took to social media to express their concerns, with one writing, "You don't hold steering wheel like sufuria you foodie," and another observing, "Driving Kenyan style??"
Despite Larry's claims of being a better driver in real life, his fans were not convinced. One fan even joked, "Shida ya kustay single for long?" while another wrote, "Your steering wheel grip betrays you??"
One Kenyan even expressed relief that Larry was far away from Kenya, writing, "I am glad you are so far away from Kenya. When you come back to Kenya please let me know which side of town you are before you start driving."
