On September 4, 2019, the Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA) awarded Pride Inn Paradise Hotel in Shanzu, Mombasa, the coveted 5-star rating.
The hotel, which boasts a conference room capable of hosting up to 2,500 delegates, scored 80.2 per cent on the Authority's assessment index while attaining 100% on essential items as required by the EAC grading procedure.
This achievement makes Pride Inn Paradise Hotel the first hotel in Mombasa to receive a 5-star rating, joining the ranks of Leopards Beach Hotel, Swahili Beach Hotel, Diani Reef Hotel, and Medina Palms in Watamu, all of which are located in the South Coast region.
Hotel ratings by TRA from two to five-stars help tourists determine their choice of hotel or lodge and what luxuries they offer.
