Kenyan radio personalities Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe are set to make their debut on Kiss 100's The Morning Kiss breakfast show next week.

On July 1, they were scheduled to debut on Kiss after resigning from NRG on June 14 and June 13 respectively, but NRG obtained an injunction from the Employment and Labour Relations Court, citing a non-compete clause in their contracts.

Justice Hellen Wasilwa granted a temporary injunction, stating that NRG had invested heavily in the duo, including buying them new cars, promoting their brands, training them, and paying for their luxurious trips to different places in the world.

However, the matter seems to have been amicably resolved, allowing the two to go on air.

According to The Star, Kiss 100's sister newspaper, the duo will take over the programme starting next week, following the departure of Adelle Onyango and Shaffie Weru's new managerial post at Homeboyz Radio.

Radio Africa Group General Manager Martin Khafafa says with the duo's debut, the company plans to relaunch the Kiss breakfast show this month, as well as HomeBoyz Radio, which was recently acquired by the company.

According to Geopoll's latest Kenya radio listenership numbers, Classic FM leads with a general listenership of 1.5 million people, followed by Radio Jambo and Kiss FM.
