September is a great time to get out and enjoy the city's vibrant culture and entertainment scene. This weekend is no exception, with a range of exciting events happening in Nairobi and beyond.

One of the highlights of the weekend is the Nairobi Beer Festival, which takes place at the Alchemist in Westlands from Friday to Monday. The festival features over 35 beer tastings from around the world, paired with delicious gourmet bites.

For those looking for a unique experience, the Nairobae IG Tour 5.0 is a 24-hour tour of Nairobi's art, food, entertainment, architecture, and cultural scene. The tour is a great way to discover the city's hidden gems and meet like-minded people.

On Saturday night, the Barclays Sports Club on Thika Road will host Mugithi Night, a celebration of Gikuyu tradition, music, food, art, and fashion. The event features performances by Joyce Wa Mamaa, Martin wa Janet, Ayrosh & The Movement Band, and Kajei Salim – gathuri & the band.

Meanwhile, dancehall king Konshens will be performing live at the Ngong Racecourse on Saturday. The concert will feature great musical performances by Ethic entertainment, The Kansoul, Sailors, and many more.

Finally, the Nyege Nyege festival is already underway in Jinja, Uganda, and will run until Monday. The festival is a 4-day celebration of music and arts, hosted by the shores of the River Nile.
