On September 2, 2019, a Machakos couple's decade-long wait for a child came to an end with the birth of triplets at the Machakos Level 5 Hospital.

Boniface Nzomo, 39, and Caroline Kathiani, 38, who have been married for ten years, were blessed with three male children, Larry, Harry, and Mutavania.

According to Kathiani, a salonist in Machakos Town, the birth of the triplets was a 'miracle' that she attributes to her pastor, Lazarus Musyoka, who prayed for her and her husband.

'Children are a gift from God. If you are married, and are struggling with infertility, believe in Him to provide. Never give up on your spouse. The birth of our children proves that He is a God of miracles,' Kathiani said.

The couple's joy was short-lived, however, as they soon realized that they needed to care for their new additions. Kathiani expressed her gratitude for the support they have received and encouraged others to do the same.

'Of course, I was prepared mentally and financially for the children, given I had conducted a scan, which revealed they were three. I am, however, open to receiving help from any well-wisher, who would love to support us,' Kathiani said.

The babies weighed 3Kgs, 1.5Kgs, and 2.5Kgs at birth and are expected to be discharged from the hospital anytime this week, according to Dr. Brigit Nzau, a medical doctor at the Machakos Level 5 Hospital.

Nzomo, who is an administration police officer in Machakos County, has been confined to a wheelchair since a road accident in 2006. Despite his physical limitations, he remains optimistic and advises couples to keep praying and trusting in God.
