Published on September 4, 2019, Saumu Mbuvi, the first child of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, has opened up about the emotional toll of trolls who target her father on social media.

Speaking in an interview with Kiss100, Saumu expressed her feelings about the harsh comments her father faces, saying they affect her deeply.

She noted that her father, who has worked hard to provide for her and their family, is often subjected to cruel and hurtful comments from people who do not know him.

"They really affect me because he does a lot for people, but those with small monies are those who troll him instead of helping the society they just make noise," Saumu said.

She also spoke about her own experiences with domestic violence and her goals to become an advocate against it, as well as her desire to help girls in Turkana and Lamu get access to sanitary towels for free.

Now, Saumu is in a happy place with her new partner, Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptipa, and is focused on her future goals.
