Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed he will return to coaching soon, 16 months after leaving the Premier League giants.
Wenger, who spent 22 years at Arsenal, has been out of coaching since the end of the 2017/18 season, despite receiving several offers.
Speaking to BeIN Sports, Wenger explained that he had rejected some offers because he did not feel ready to return to the sport.
"I rejected some nice offers because I did not feel ready. Putting a bit of distance between myself and our world made me hesitate to jump back into the fire-pit so quickly," Wenger said.
Wenger also stated that he had been working as a TV pundit since leaving the Emirates stadium and had now made it known that he would return to coaching.
"I did it for 35 years without any interruption. So I was able to leave the bubble and open my eyes and that took me time. You will see me in a dugout again, when, I don’t know exactly,'' he added.
Earlier this year, Wenger was reportedly offered a two-and-a-half year contract by Japanese club Vissel Kobe, worth £3.5m per year.
