On September 3, 2019, Branch International issued a $5 million commercial paper, its fourth such issuance, to expand its services in Kenya.

The investment will be used to further grow the company's presence in the country, building on its previous commercial paper issuances.

Notably, this commercial paper was issued at a time when the firm had just announced the repayment of its third commercial paper of $5 million.

Since its first commercial paper issuance in 2017, Branch International has raised over $15 million in capital locally.

Additionally, the company has made significant strides in expanding its services, including a partnership with Visa and a $170 million fresh funding.

Furthermore, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has invested KSh309 million in the micro lender, and Branch International has also been expanding into India.
