Published on September 3, 2019, Njambi Koikai, a Kenyan media personality, has been open about her struggles adjusting to life in Nairobi after returning from the US for medical treatment.

After spending over a year in the US undergoing treatment for endometriosis, Njambi has had to adapt to a 'germ-free environment' to aid her recovery.

“Due to the nature of my recovery, I’m required to be in a sterile environment,” Njambi posted on her Instagram page.

However, Njambi has found it challenging to cope with the Nairobi air, which she describes as 'dry and quite thin', making it difficult for her to breathe.

“Nairobi air is dry and quite thin for me and for most people who have respiratory issues. In that regard, I have a heater and a humidifier that is on at all times for the air to be moisturised,” she said.

Despite the challenges, Njambi is grateful to be back home and thanked God for all He has done for her.
