On a recent New England Patriots preseason game against the New York Giants, quarterback Tom Brady was seen taking a break from the action to practice some yoga poses on the sidelines.
With a lucrative two-year contract extension under his belt, making him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL, Brady seemed remarkably relaxed, even trying out a few stretches and yoga poses.
As expected, the internet quickly picked up on the footage, with WBZ sports correspondent Michael Hurley calling it the 'highlight of the whole preseason' and Sports Illustrated writer Charlotte Wilder joking that it was 'the most predictable thing that's happened in the last three years.'
While some saw it as a sign that the game against the Giants was too 'boring' to hold Brady's attention, others took it as a sign of his dedication to his craft, even at the age of 42.
As Brady prepares to enter his 20th season in the NFL, he's been making the most of his at-home yoga studio, and it seems that his stats and reputation speak for themselves.
As his former teammate Rob Gronkowski recently said, 'He can play for as long as he wants, and he is going to play for as long as he wants.'
