Amtrak's newest Acela trainsets, scheduled to arrive in 2021, promise to revolutionize travel between Boston, New York, and Washington D.C. with faster journey times and a more luxurious experience.
On September 2, 2019, the agency showcased the upgraded interiors of the new cars at its headquarters in Delaware, featuring mock-ups of business and first-class cabins, as well as the cars' bathrooms, galley, and driver's cab.
According to Amtrak, the new trainsets will provide 'world-class accommodations and amenities, along with a smoother and even more comfortable ride.' Each trainset will offer 378 seats, offering a spacious and high-end comfort experience for customers.
