On Monday morning, a 35-year-old woman lost her life in a tragic incident at Kalambya village in Kitui County.
According to reports, the woman, who worked as a house maid, was at her workplace when her ex-husband showed up, sparking an argument that turned violent.
The suspect allegedly stabbed the woman several times before attempting to take his own life by stabbing himself with the same knife. However, he was stopped by residents who arrived at the scene.
The body of the deceased was taken to Kitui Level Four Hospital morgue for further examination.
The suspect was detained at Ndolos Corner Police Station as investigations continue.
