Published on September 2, 2019, a report by Goal cited sources in Scotland, suggesting Tottenham had opened the door for Victor Wanyama to make a sensational return to Celtic on a season-long loan deal.

Wanyama's potential return to Parkhead comes after a deal with Club Brugge appeared to have collapsed due to unresolved financial issues.

The 28-year-old Kenyan midfielder spent two years at Celtic before joining Southampton in 2013, and his former manager Neil Lennon is reportedly keen on reuniting with him.

Spurs are said to be ready to consider loan offers for Wanyama should they fail to offload him permanently before the European transfer window shuts.
