Deputy President William Ruto has responded to a recent article published by a local newspaper, which he claims is an example of 'desperate gutter journalism lies of drama.'

According to the article, published on September 1, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta allegedly caused a scuffle at the airport when he arrived in the country from Japan, after his aide-de-camp ordered photographers to delete photos of the president's arrival.

However, the Deputy President has dismissed the article as a fabrication, stating that the Jubilee Party is built on rock solid philosophy and cannot be undermined by such schemes.

He took to Twitter to express his frustration, saying, 'Kenyans can see through standard media's desperate gutter journalism lies of drama. JUBILEE is built on rock solid philosophy and beliefs that no amount of scheming & propaganda can undermine.'

The incident occurred when President Kenyatta arrived at the airport with a delegation of high-ranking officials, including the Chief of Defence Forces General Samson Mwathethe, military service commanders, Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai, and Nandi Governor Stephen Sang.
