On August 28th, 2019, Sameer Africa PLC announced the appointment of Mr. Peter Gitonga as its acting Managing Director.
Mr. Gitonga brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served in various senior management capacities within the organization. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Strategic Management from the United States International University (USIU).
As a non-executive member of the board of directors, Mr. Gitonga is also a member of the nominations and remuneration and the finance and investment committees.
He takes over from Mr. Simon Gachomo, who recently resigned from the position.
