Kenya to Compete in World International Pairs Tournament

On September 2, 2019, Kenya Golf Union announced that the country will participate in the World International Pairs Tournament for the first time. The tournament will be held at Penina Golf Resort in Portugal from November 19 to 23, 2019.

The three pairs selected to represent Kenya are Bhamra Bilu and Sandhu R from Nyanza Golf Club, who scored 44 points, Stephen Kiaro and Michael Karanga from Kiambu Golf Club, also with 44 points, and James Kamenchu and Edwin Murungi from Railway Golf Club, who scored 43 points.

The pairs were chosen from a field of 65 teams that participated in the international pairs Grand finale held at Muthaiga Golf Club. The teams had qualified from various clubs around the country.

Kenya Golf Union Chairman, Mr. Anthony Murage, expressed gratitude to the sponsors, including Emirates, Panari Hotels, Southern Sun Mayfair, Diani Sea Resort, Ndege House Cottages, and Morning Star Hotel, for their support.
