Liverpool Maintain Lead in Premier League as Man United, Chelsea, and Arsenal Drop Points

Published on September 2, 2019, the Premier League standings after matchday 4 saw Liverpool maintain their 100 per cent record in the 2019-20 campaign.

With 12 points, Liverpool are currently leading the log, followed closely by Manchester City with 10 points. Jurgen Klopp's men defeated Burnley by 3-0 at Turf Moore, showcasing their intention to lift the title this season.

Manchester City also had a comfortable 4-0 victory over Brighton at the Etihad, trailing Liverpool by two points. Leicester City sit third with eight points following their 3-1 win over Bournemouth.

Crystal Palace are fourth with seven points, level with Arsenal, Everton, and West Ham United but superior on goal difference. Manchester United, on the other hand, dropped to eighth after their draw with Southampton.

The bottom half of the table comprises Burnley, Southampton, Newcastle, Bournemouth, and Brighton, who all have four points in the same number of matches. Wolves, Aston Villa, and Norwich maintain the 17th, 18th, and 19th positions respectively with three points, while Watford are the only team with only a point in the league.
