On September 2, 2019, Bafana Bafana's preparations for their international friendly clash against Zambia were dealt a blow with the withdrawal of goalkeeper Darren Keet and defender Thapelo Mokoena from the squad.
Keet is currently finalizing his work permit in Belgium, which requires him to stay in the country until all the necessary paperwork is completed. Mokoena, on the other hand, is nursing an injury.
The two players will not be part of the team that will face Zambia on September 7.
