Google Chrome has made it possible to share tabs across devices without the need for third-party apps or plugins. This feature, still under experimental development, can be enabled using Chrome Flags.
There are three options to share Chrome tabs between devices:
- Share from Chrome on PC/Mac to Android Phone
- Share from Android Phone to Chrome on PC/Mac
- Broadcast to all your Chrome devices
To enable this feature, follow these steps:
Enabling Chrome Flags ¶
Access Chrome://flags where you normally type web URLs, and search for Send. Enable Send Tab to Self and Send tab to self show sending UI, then relaunch Chrome.
Once enabled, you can share tabs between devices by right-clicking on a tab or page and choosing Send to Devices. You can also broadcast to all your Chrome devices by enabling the Send history flag.
However, it's worth noting that the feature does not automatically open the shared tab on the receiving device. Instead, it comes as a notification that you need to click on to open the tab.
