On a thrilling Sunday at the RFUEA grounds, Nakuru made a stunning comeback to reach the Christie Sevens final, defeating Impala Saracens 19-14.

Trailing 7-14 at the break, Nakuru's Monate Akwei, Fredrick Odongo, and Hannington Wabwire scored crucial tries to turn the game around and secure their first final of the year's Stanbic Bank National Sevens Series.

Impala had taken an early lead, with Xavier Kipng'etich converting Ismael Mokaya and Elkeans Musonye's tries. However, Nakuru's determination and skill ultimately paid off, with Akwei's try being reduced to a deficit by Geoffrey Olindi before the break.

After the interval, Nakuru's Odongo and Wabwire completed the assault, leaving Impala Saracens with little chance of recovery.

Meanwhile, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) secured their third final of the season by beating Mwamba 17-12. KCB's Geoffrey Okwatch, Michael Wanjala, and Samuel Asati each landed a try, with Asati making one conversion to enhance their chances of winning the Series.

As the Series leaders, KCB had gone into Christies at the top with 72 points, while Mwamba trailed behind with 69 points. Mwamba's hopes of winning the Series now rest on KCB not winning the Christie Sevens, which would give them a chance to take the title in the final leg of Driftwood Sevens in Mombasa this coming weekend.
